Roger Kaiser Biography

Get it Here!!!

If It Feels Like Leather, Shoot It is the long awaited biography of Roger Kaiser — Georgia Tech’s first All-American basketball player and a coach who won four national championships. Telling his story is Richard Hyatt, a legendary journalist and the author of 14 other books.

From the sidelines, Kaiser’s story sounds like a fairytale. He married his high school sweetheart and coached 30 years at West Georgia College and Life University. But his life has not been without setbacks. Along the way, he lost a daughter and a sister to cancer and survived two bouts with the disease himself. These days he coaches the middle school basketball team at Mt. Bethel Christian Academy in Cobb County. Georgia. Much of his time is spent raising funds for the Alexis Kaiser Foundation, which supports children with special needs, including his granddaughter Lexi.

Lexi’s grandfather, Roger Kaiser, holds the distinction of being Georgia Tech’s first All American basketball player as well as being the first Georgia Tech basketball player to have his #21 jersey retired.
